Internships and New Training Opportunities for Foreign Citizens in Italy

The Ministry of Labour and Social Policies has announced the opening of new opportunities for foreign citizens interested in training courses and professional internships in Italy. This initiative is part of the Three-Year Programming Decree 2023-2025, published in the Official Gazette on August 7, 2023.

The new admission quotas have been set at 7,500 for attending professional training courses and another 7,500 for carrying out training and orientation internships. These quotas, valid for the period 2023-2025, represent an opportunity for foreign citizens interested in enhancing their professional skills and receiving training in Italy.

The 7,500 slots for professional training courses are intended for programs aimed at recognizing qualifications or certifying acquired skills, with a maximum duration of 24 months. These courses are organized by accredited training institutions in accordance with regional regulations. As for training and orientation internships, the 7,500 slots are designated for those who wish to complete a professional training program initiated in their country of origin. These internships are promoted by the sponsoring entities identified by regional regulations and follow the guidelines for internships.
