Interinstitutional Help Desk on tour

Operational in giving support to migrant people  present in the countryside and urban areas of Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania and Sicilia, the Help desk can count on a solid and qualified staff of operators, cultural mediators and legal operators, thanks to whom it is able to offer a multichannel and multilingual service (English, French, Arabic, pidgin, edo/benin, wolof, mandinka, fula, pular) to assist workers in the emerging phase of any conditions of labour exploitation and facilitate their access to the offer of local services.

In order to spread and make known the service in a capillary way among potential beneficiaries, the Help Desk against illegal gang mastering, between January and February, is on tour in the five regions of Southern Italy, reaching with outreach activities the territories in which the presence of migrant workers is more numerous based on the seasonality of the crops, addressing people and groups of people living in conditions of severe marginalisation and exclusion, victims and/or potential victims of labour exploitation.

Specifically, it carries out activities of first contact and listening, as well as information, advice and guidance to the territorial network of services. A legal operator and a linguistic-cultural mediator will be present at each stage.
